In 2018, a group of local veterans came together with one purpose: to look after one another. They had all felt the challenges of leaving active service and saw too many of their brothers and sisters struggling on their own. From those beginnings, The Veterans Outreach Center of Benewah County was born — a place where veterans and their families could find connection, support, and a reminder that they are never alone.

Our mission is to walk hand-in-hand with veterans as they build a life worth living — offering support, connection, and care every step of the way.

A community where every veteran feels respected, supported, and given the tools and relationships needed to thrive long after their time in uniform.
We honor our commitments and do what we say we will do. Veterans know the weight of a promise kept, and we carry that same standard into every interaction. Integrity guides the way we serve, the way we partner, and the way we walk alongside one another.
Every veteran’s service and every family’s sacrifice deserves recognition. We see the person behind the uniform, and we treat every story, every struggle, and every victory with dignity. Respect means listening, honoring differences, and valuing each individual who comes through our doors.
We know the battles don’t always end when the service does. That’s why we lead with understanding, patience, and care — meeting veterans and their families exactly where they are. Compassion fuels our desire to not only meet needs, but to build trust and provide lasting support.
The bond between those who have served is unlike any other. We believe no one should walk this road alone, and we foster a brotherhood and sisterhood that extends beyond military service into everyday life. Camaraderie creates connection, and connection creates strength.
From World War II to those just returning home, we serve men and women from every branch and every era of service.
We recognize the sacrifices made at home. Spouses, children, and caregivers are welcome here — because when we strengthen families, we strengthen veterans.
Whether you’re looking for resources, fellowship, or simply a place to belong, you’ll find an open door and a community ready to walk with you.

The Veterans Outreach Center of Benewah County began with a simple but steady purpose: to serve local veterans with dignity, respect, and compassion. But our vision doesn’t stop here. Our BIG dream is to replicate this model across cities and states nationwide, with FIVE more opening soon. Too many veterans fall through the cracks after their service, and every community deserves a place where veterans and their families can find support, fellowship, and renewed purpose.
Building centers where veterans can find belonging build lives worth living, together.
Meeting veterans where they are — with no cost, not hassle, and no judgment.
Through every meal, visit, and conversation, we serve our veterans with hope for brighter days ahead.
Expanding this mission beyond Benewah County, so no veteran has to struggle alone.
