Did you know that there are more veterans per capita in Benewah County than any other county in the state of Idaho? Founded in 2018 by a group of veterans, Veteran's Outreach Center has been committed to serving our local veteran community with decades of years of service amongst us. Our building, team, and community have grown over the past few years, but our dedication to our mission remains the same.
At the Veteran's Outreach Center, our values are at the core of everything we do. We believe in honesty, integrity, and respect for all. We are committed to serving our fellow veterans with compassion, comradery, and empathy. Our mission is to help veterans transition back into, and live, civilian life as smoothly and fully as possible.
We offer a wide range of services to help veterans with everything from mental health support and suicide prevention, a gathering place and food bank, free meals and fun local events. We understand that every veteran has unique needs, which is why we work closely with our veterans by building intentional relationships and lifelong friendships so we can serve them fully.
"We are family here. We made a lifetime commitment then and we still stand by it, it doesn't stop just because we came home. If you need someone to talk to, call me on my personal phone and I will answer. I am available 24/7." - Hank Thornton
Open today | 09:00 am – 05:00 pm |
We understand that our current building is small and can often feel crowded. If you would like to come into the center after hours or have one of our team members come visit you in the privacy of your own home, just give us a call and we can make that happen!
